Tony Coupe was taught how to paint by William Makinson while he had a studio in Kirkby in Ashfield.

Oils are his frequent choice of medium however acrylics and air brush have been used in his work, and he would readily change to water colours if he could.

He has won the Ashfield shows art competition six years running. His work is on display in Kirkby at the council office and Portland Park. The train pictures have been printed to help raise funds for the Kirkby conservation society and can be purchased in their shop on Kingsway.
